FAQ

  • Where are your crowns made?
    • All of our lab work is performed at local laboratories. None of our crowns, bridges or dentures are sent overseas to be made. By using local laboratories this ensures that all materials used to construct your prosthesis conform to Australian standards. It is possible to save money by sending lab work overseas but we are unwilling to make this compromise on quality and safety.

  • What should I do if a tooth is knocked out
    • Call the surgery immediately or click on the link in the "LINKS" section on this page for instructions

  • Are X-rays needed
    • Dental x-rays or radiographs can be divided into two categories – intra-oral and extra-oral. They provide valuable diagnostic information that can lead to better treatment planning, earlier intervention and better outcomes. For example, the information provided by intra-oral bitewing radiographs makes it possible to detect cavities forming on the walls of teeth before severe damage has been done. Other forms of x-rays can screen for dental abnormalities that would otherwise go undetected. Extra-oral radiography provides information on tooth development, shape and the relationship between different oral structures such as the roots of teeth, nerves and sinuses. They are essential to ensuring your dental health and are only recommended where necessary.

  • I am nervous can you help?
    • There are many reasons why a patient may feel apprehensive about dental treatment and it is important to understand why you feel the way you do. We will discuss these reasons with you and work to overcome any fears. Relative analgesia (happy gas) is a great way to feel more relaxed and we are happy to provide this service. We provide treatment in a relaxed manner to ensure you are comfortable at all times.

  • When should my child start seeing a dentist?
    • As soon as your child has teeth you should start speaking to us to discuss your childs requirements. Bringing them with you to your own check up is a good way to get them use to seeing a dentist and once they are comfortable we can then work on getting a proper check up performed.
